E21 Project Thread - Part 2

Figured I'd start on fitting the group 2 kit. Not much progress but it's something.

These fenders had a shit ton of glue holding them on from the factory. Craziness!!!

Got the new ones on that were already cut for flares.

Got the front valance switched out too and started fitting the grp2 front spoiler. Looks like I'll need to add a fiberglass lip to the top edge, so the rivnuts have something to grab. I also started installing the single headlight setup I made quite awhile ago. Having trouble getting them to turn on with the headlight switch. Must be a wiring issue.

And... totally forgot I paid for this guy over a month ago. Just got it today in the mail. Any guesses?

Got the headlights sorted. I forgot about the high beam solder mod I had done when installing the HIDs. So desoldering that worked like a charm. Now to just buy a new headlight connector plug to wire back into the harness and I can fully install the headlights and grilles.

Basically, yes. It's the e21 gruppe 5 rear roof spoiler.

Thats pretty Effin cool. Remind me what your plans are for a rear trunk wing/spoiler again?

I have a motorsport duckbill trunk spoiler I will be mounting as well as the custom splitter with center oval exhaust

I know about the exhaust and diffuser. Im sure what ever you do will look awesome. I cant wait to see this thing driving this summer!

Lets talk about paint and decals. Are you going to execute a livery, I feel like you already had something in mind/the works. I tried to go back through your thread but Its so long and I just need a recap.

Color will be orange and the livery I was keeping as a surprise. I'll just say it's similar to the jagermeister livery, but with a twist.

Wrapped the rear deck spoiler in 3M satin gold dust black vinyl. It's got it's flaws, but works for me. Before and after...

One more thing crossed off the list. Aiming them is going to be fun once the car is on the ground and out of the garage in spring.
