Great shots! Bummer on the tow :(

yeah, but counting my lucky stars on it happening in a parking lot versus on the freeway. i also got to dial up my first uber ride, so that was...something.

thanks, dudes.  nice sleuthing Joe! it would be a great spot for some group shots one day - there are zero people around that time of night and lots of lights.

It was a slow morning haha. Group shots would be awesome though

auto-x cherry popped. way too much fun. my non-sticky tires were slow, but oh-so-fun. joe was better than me considering i only beat him by 0.25 sec and he's got the m42.

Congrats on the (Street Modified) 1st place! No need to tell anyone it was just you and I haha, if we had similar tires you would've smoked me for sure. You also get the award for longest 11's leaving the start line.

You car looked awesome as usual, can't wait to go do it again!

Also glad you enjoyed it. Most people are hooked after their first event. Some just need some convincing to give it a try!

nexen nfera nogrips. only tires in 225/45r16 that weren't $600/set when i was looking.  i might sell my e34 summer wheels to fund some better rubber for next year :D

                      nogrips lol

I've got Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's (Bridgestone Potenza RE003 in the rest of the world). I would be lying if I said I didn't go home and immediately look up 200 treadwear tires that would fit my car

If you guys get some 15s, tire choices are soooooo much better than 16s. Cheaper too. I run the Re71r in a 205/50/15. It's pretty amazing. Brooke runs the hankook rs4 in a 225/45/15. They are also good.

i really need an external mic for the back of the car so you can hear her sing. watching the video makes me see where I could have made up a lot of time by looking a turn ahead, or not hugging cones in unnecessary places. also i typed in 2016 for some reason, lol.

another day, another 2/32" of tire gone.

Madison Sports Car Club setup a great course. It was more high speed than my first event, which was a fun change of pace.

I remembered to setup my front camber to MAX and air up the tires to 45lbs, and it certainly made a difference.

I met a couple of cool guys out there. A couple of other BMWs. I got to do a ride along in Sam's m3. Man, it feels fast from the passenger seat! I learned that I would love to have better brakes. The m3 brakes haul that thing down so much faster than the e30.

love those photos! I do wonder if the lack of droop on a low coilover setup is a hinderance to grip compared to a spring and damper combo that stays in contact with the road. I would think so but lots of fast racecars lift the front wheel so who am I to judge?!?

~45 psi is what some of my friends ran for autocross when I would spectate many many years ago

I guess it depends on the tire/suspension setup.
