So, why exactly is my M3 sagging?

So the front passenger side of my M3 I'm working on has heavy devy sag. As in wheel well is touching the wheel. SO tell me since I've never worked on any suspension ever, is it a just a failed spring? or......

Is the spring broken? Shock tower mounts in one peice?

lol, if Earl owned this vehicle, it wouldn't be riddled with such half-ass work. From preliminary glances, the shock tower mounts seem fine. I'll be pulling the wheel off this week and doing a good examination...

I'll come back with what I find. Any advice on replacement/swap? If it is just a shot spring, can I swap just the front pair? or can I get away with just a single?

My 99 M3 broke a front coil spring and was sagging about half an inch on that side. I'd put my money on a broken spring

I have stock m3 front springs is you need one=)

Did you or a previous owner like the larger portly women?  Extra abuse on that side?

My M3 had one broken coil and I honestly didn't even notice until I swapped suspension. It must be a common thing for these cars.

I had an E34 wagon in Germany that someone had put after market springs into the front of. When I bought the car, BOTH front springs were snapped and the front end sagged badly. If you have aftermarket springs in the car, I'd check there first. Seems like some of the aftermarket bits aren't nearly the quality they should be.
