Dry Ice Versus Sound Deadening

The Internet has told me that a hammer and dry ice removes all sorts.
My trunk tar came out with just a paint scraper. The sound deadening in the cab also came off with a scraper/chisel/hammer combo but was more of a PITA.

I used an air chisel to remove mine. Would not have wanted to do that by hand.

The reason I was thinking dry ice is to eliminate the need to clean up the nasty adhesive that is left when scraping it off normally.
This would be a good way to do it. The leftover adhesive I had came off with a different combo of shit I had laying around

I watched a video on YouTube where they mixed isopropyl alcohol with the dry ice and it made it into a paste. They were able to peel the sound deadening out in sheets
