Dirty Delphin Progression Thread

It is! I got a ticket in my e46 a few years ago or so.. Unlawful display of non-US registration.. I think that was what it was called. Who cares I talk my way out after.. Plus unless it's a dick head cop that had the worst day ever you won't probably get pulled over.. But on the back is another story. I wanted to Rock one under my plate
-
yeah you can get a ticket, but you can also get a ticket for having no front plate, so pick your poison. i ran the euro plate for a couple years, and no plate for the rest of the time and have never been hassled (even when pulled over)
nice work on the front end. whats with the amber fog lights?
-
Yeah, I've been pulled over once and the cop mentioned my lack of plate. I told him it looked stupid and he laughed. I didnt get a written warning yet so until then, I shall be plate-less

The amber fogs are the result of me clicking the "buy it now" button at 4am after sitting at work for 12 hours lol I kinda like them, but they could be swapped out in the future.

Picked up some new rims for the Delphin today. I know there isn't much love for sportmax, but they're cheap, and I love the big lip and low cost

my car came with those wheesl when I bought it! you didnt pick them up from a guy in illinois did ya?
-
I did actually lol
He was from Naperville I believe.. This isn't where you tell me that they had 15 bends and 4 hidden cracks, right? lol
In other news: blew my tranny this weekend down in Madison. Total cost so far is$72 for a tow, $48 in gas to have my uncle with a car dolly come down and grab me, $35 to rent the car dolly, and $47 food bill for my uncle, brother, and I to eat on the trip home. Now I'm gonna pick up a tranny from Matt, install new bushings/change fluids while its off, and then hopefully install and be on my way..

Paladin? Nah, they were in really good shape when i sold them. only one spot of curb rash and a little clear-coat peal. Looks like he put some new tires on there which is good.
-
These have the same issues you describe, very minor rash on one wheel, and a couple little clearcoat issues. He put some federal 595 tires on them, and the camber wear is almost unreal! Just picked up 2 dirt cheap Yokohama tires to slap on for the time being. Once my other summer jobs start up I'll get a nice set of matching tires lol
-
as to be expected i believe he was running GCs and had the car pretty low. luckily i've never killed a set of rear tires on an e30 from camber wear.

Well... Installed the new rims tires today, 205 45 16 all around. What I've determined so far is that I need to be at least 1.5" lower up in front

Liking the new look! I am almost done!

thanks guys, I"m really considering going to the dark side and selling my suspension setup.. I'd pick up some cheap JOM coilovers to really get the drop I want. This car is my DD, so I dont really need a stiff sport suspension anyways, and everyone on R3V seems to be happy with their $400 JOM kits..
-
Buy a JOM kit, then donate your current suspension to me!

+1 for more lows up from, but it sits pretty nicely considering that late models always have a negative rake look about them
