Under hood adhesive removal
-
Not very "technical" but does anyone have tips on removing the under hood adhesive without stripping the paint off as well? I've tried Goo-Gone, simple green, paint thinners... The foam was trash so I pulled it off and I'm not sure the current state is an improvement.

Wd-40?
Will carb cleaner kill the paint?

I didn't even think of WD! I'll try it out tonight. Thanks!

3M adhesive remover works well. Advance Auto has it for $12.00 can

Kerosene is my go to for removing anything.
Another good one.
Used this on all of my moto chains to clean them. Just made sure to re-lube after kerosene evaporates

This is the time where you fess up to using kerosene to remove your mother-in-law from your life.

Thanks for the ideas. Tried Wd-40 tonight on a small area and seems to be working better then anything else I tried. Might try some of the others tomorrow if I have time.

Good idea the WD40. Will have to try that myself.
