I guess my question was if your car was pre-wired for city lights.

Nope. In the euro cars the parking lights at the front are wired to the city light instead of the directional. When adding them to a US car many people wire them so that both the city light and the directional come on.

They are small bulbs that illuminate the light without having the headlights on.

I have been told that it is for driving around in town in parts of Europe at night where there are street lights and using headlights in those towns is illegal at night. Don't quote me though

That is what I had always thought as well.

Its the equivalent of daytime running lights essentially. In Germany (not sure about the rest of Europe) if you are parking on the side of the road at night, your marked lights on the side of the vehicle must be on while the vehicle is parked. On the newer BMW's this activated by hitting the turn signal switch after you have shut off the vehicle.

                  My floors no longer leak.

                  Which means they hold water

Which also means I still have a leak somewhere

After a crazy storm that lasted about 6 hours. I had about an inch of standing water on the floor

                  fe183ea31b3919e1f8c20bea714164e8.jpg

Maybe I could start a coy pond

Or just wear crocs all the time

Either way. It's holding me off from finishing the carpets.

I was going to ask you how the storms were, the radar looked pretty intense up there. Now I know.

Id say sunroof or possibly elephant trunk is clogged

Twist 90 degrees or so to remove

Don't have those in my car.

But there is still the upper portion they connect to. I'll give it a look after work.

Definitely wasn't sunroof or door seals. Nothing was soaked in that region

ive had a bad passenger weatherstripping ever since I got my car (you can see sunlight through the very top corner of the door from inside) but it doesn't leak. You cant explain that

I only sold one BMW that I owned and that was a 94 325i sedan. I really liked the car but it was TOO small. I always felt cramped. It was great in all other regards and a blast to drive. It was in that car that I received my only speeding ticket in the last 15 years. I remember doing 55 and downshifting and rev matching into third and "Holy Crap" did that thing pull. I do miss it for that reason alone. I have a sweet spot for my E28's. I guess I am getting old but still have some class  .

I ended up staining the picnic table and yard fence instead. I may get to it tonight or early tomorrow. I really need to build it up as I may be driving it this winter :(.

If I can I hope to get a mini van to prevent this but it does not look good as of now.

White plasti dip the door bottoms/wheel arches to keep the rust away! That's my plan if I ever drive a bimmer in winter again.

Now you have some wiggle room for new projects ? :).

Now I have some wiggle room for a new washer and drier and finishing some home projects lol.  And of course i'll be getting a few things done with my 335i now.

                                          was the buyer from Racine?
