I know I've seen some information on which types of rims interchange with the E30 somewhere. Just can't seem to find it. Found a set of steel rims with snow tires mounted on them that are from what appears to be an early Mazda Miata. Rims are 4X100. Wondering if these will fit my car?

    Thanks.

You'd need spacers and longer wheel bolts.

OK, nice to know. Might still be worth buying the tires, though. Could always sell the rims.

Miata centerbore is smaller, 54.1 versus the e30 57.1

As long as the wheels are 4x100 and have a 57.1 or larger center bore they are possible to fit. If the center bore is larger than 57.1 you can get hubcentric rings to take up the slop. The offset will be heavily affected by how wide the wheels are so feel free to run those numbers past us when you find wheels you like.
