E46 window won't go up or down. Motors still fine?

I can hear the motor. But the window doesn't go up or down.. Ideas?

Needs a regulator or the glass pulled out of the regulator. Most likely just needs a new regulator. Regulator replacement is regular.

Pull the glass out? Which way is the cheapest. Just needs to work. Not looking to spend bookoo bucks on a regulator

I too have heard of the zip tie fix.  Google it like a boss.

This was the first DIY project I ever did on my car. I had no prior car experience what so ever. It was so simple. The only problem with the zip tie fix is you don't know if it will work until you take everything apart. In my case the cord was all messed up and tangled. I splurged and spent 150$ on a regulator from the dealer. I've seen mixed reviews on the other brands. Some say they work for years others say they fail within a year I can't comment on the off brand ones. But as far as saving money. Just do it yourself it's super easy

Is the e46 regulator the same as an e36? I have an extra door so you could have the regulator for like $10 if it's a match (if you're in milwaukee0

Regulator is fine, as are the clips. The actual mounts broke.

Hmmm, not sure what the mounts are. If you need new ones and it shares any pieces with an e36, my door is your door.

Not the same. But thanks though! I have industrial,( and I mean industrial) zipties. That have a breaking strength up in the... 200lbs of force range. ? I used them in a bout 4 locations to hold the motor in/and to not shift, until I can find a new motor mount!
