Would compound work with 2 of the same turbos? I'm still considering running each turbo off 3 cylinders each so 1.35L per turbo
-
I know nothing about turbo installation, although I know that sizing is critical for a good outcome. Just finding a random turbo is probably not going to be that great. Do you know what it came from? You could also sell it and use the money for a well designed setup.
Not trying to be a Debbie downer, it would just be disappointing to put all of the work into a setup that didn't really work very well.
-
The turbo I got came from a 2008 WRX which has a larger hot side to it being a 2.5 which means I could run just one but if i swap over to a smaller hot side from the 2.0 boxer turbo It could work as a twin setup or I may sell this and the intercooler im getting in hopes for a more sizable single turbo. I dont wanna go crazy with boost, just enough to get me around 300whp to have some more fun with wider tires.
-
I was thinking of getting a eBay turbo manifold and weld on a Subaru turbo flange so then I can just interchange between scooby turbos and making finding different turbos to upgrade to easy to find and cheap
-
Someone copied me for plate mounting...

-
Now for a roof rack... was thinking wheels but might as well rock my bottlecaps till they are bald

-
I rocked my bottlecaps until the tires were junk, and then someone gave me some free tires so I ran those for another year before I got the contour reps. I would recommend lots of burnouts to dispose of them lol. After looking at that turbo, the hot side inlet might be a standard pattern, I have a shiny downpipe that might fit, let me dig around the basement a bit.
-
Don't mess around with a subie turbo man, unless you are doing some cool compound setup. The larger of the two turbos in a compound setup should be sized for your total power level.
This is an m20 no? Just stick with the hx35 thing. Works well can't go wrong and its cheap.

So what does one do the night before scooters with a rusty as hell rear valance with the daylight dwindling??? YES!!! lets fix that valance and get her looking sharp!?!? Let's do some body work they said, it'll be fun they said...
not a great before shot but you can see what I had to deal with...
finally getting somewhere after fabbing patches and grinding for like 2 hours with the new Bosch grinder! Mi padre and some classy beer were helping
Finally ready for some spray bombing!
no more bumper mount holes!
Then just to get her done for now some plastidip (it was almost 4am when I left the shop! Thanks again Dad!)
Also if you have manual seats you have a cupholder!
