Yeah storage in an E39 is a joke. I'd love a flip up armrest setup but I can't justify the cost.

I bought 2 ultimate cup holders http://www.ultimatecupholders.com/ for my e39.  They are the best.  Never even touch the flip out ones.

I agree,flip up /collapse-able cup holders are garbage. Solid for the win. I still gotta get something for the E28... ugh.

The ultimates might work for the e28 too.  You can bent them and such to fit in different places.

How are you liking the car?  Id really like to snag a 540i as a replacement for my camry but will likely end up with something that can make a decent home depot run every now and then

If you call 0-60 in around 5.8 seconds slow then yeah. My 540 still poops on plenty of mustangs

I love my car thus far; the engine is smooth; love the 6 speed manual. heated seats and steering wheel. room for 4 golf bags in the back. while still being relatively quick! And not having quite the maintenance issues/cost of the later VANOS models or the M5
