<![CDATA[540i from Madison.]]>Hello everyone,

My name is Andrew Laishes.

Just went to my first WIbimmers meet on Saturday the 22nd and figured I would make an intro post on here. I recently (last tuesday) sold my honda civic and picked up an e39 BMW 540i 6 speed (last thursday) with just over 125k miles.

I have lived in Madison all my life so I know the area well; hoping to meet more members, attend more events, and get further involved into the WIbimmers community.

Enough talk; here's what she looks like as it sits.

I also think you should just debadge the car. Blacked out emblems have never looked right to me.

They're just not worth it. You should be able to get a nice affordable set of coilovers for relatively cheap.

Fine, not fast :) At least my car doesn't seem quick. I wouldn't mind riding/driving in your car at some point. There is a distinct chance I have cats that are beginning to clog, which would obviously kill mileage and power.

And not having quite the maintenance issues/cost of the later VANOS models or the M5

How are you liking the car?  Id really like to snag a 540i as a replacement for my camry but will likely end up with something that can make a decent home depot run every now and then
