It’s on the ground. Last night I started it up and bled the cooling system. Have PS rear window trim to put back on, a piece of door moulding, and the trunk panels.
Interior cleaned up and looking oh so good.
The WI Bimmers sticker that will live on as part of the car.

Momo Prototipo wheel? The wheel really gives the interior a more classic look. Don't know if I want to go away from my Mtech one as it's such good condition.
The tonal sticker is a really nice touch. Did you just leave it and paint right over it?

It's a Viilante Corsa wheel off ebay. They have a lot of cool wheels and have the tri-color bmw stitching as an option on most. But I went with all black for the exact reason you just said - it was a more classic/period correct look to me.
I started priming and forgot the sticker was still on there and primed over it. Whoops.

Drove it to work today. Did a brake bed-in on the way and now those feel pretty good. Will likely do another one on the way home. Some little squeaks and rattles here and there, but I think those are be 30yo car noises and not drivetrain noises. The suspension and everything feels very solid.
I do have the anti-lock light coming on as soon as I start driving. So I gotta figure out which sensor that is. Found a neat tutorial on determining which sensor is the issue which I'm going to put here for my future reference:

If the light goes out after engine start and only comes on when the car is
moving, there's a problem with one (or more) of the sensors. The simple test
to find out which sensor(s) is the cause is to disconnect all but one of the
sensors and drive the car. If the light comes on, that sensor is sending a
speed signal to the ABS and is good. Repeat with each other sensor to find the
one(s) that don't cause the light to come on. Since the ABS module has no
speed input besides the wheel sensors, if only a bad sensor is connected the
module can't tell the car is moving and thus doesn't fault on missing speed
signals from the other wheels. Once a bad speed sensor is found, if a new
sensor still doesn't work, there could be a wiring fault in that circuit or a
bad input channel in the ABS unit. -

Found the rattle. I didn’t tighten down the PS shock in the trunk. It was preeeeety loose.

I didn't think I would be. But definitely more of a fan of this color instead of the old one.

They're the RS reps that I think a few other people have on here. ESM I think. Then I got BMW domed stickers off ebay for the center caps.
I didn't think I would be. But definitely more of a fan of this color instead of the old one.

At first I was a little disappointed that it wasn't as dark as Delphin. But I'm secretly a fan of that Destroyer Gray color that is being used more and more today. And this is kind of like that color but with some metallic.

I had those when I first got the car but switched to OEM ellipsoids because I didn't want to deal with the wiring. I have been thinking about those though because the new ZKW fogs have a smoked look to them.

Yes. I agree. They fit the car very well and their quality is great, IMO, for a rep.

The car had them when I bought it but they weren't wired in correctly. The housings were also hacked up from someone retrofitting HIDs. I don't like HIDs in old cars and the bulb openings were so messed up that a normal bulb couldn't be installed. On top of that I was in the middle of pulling the engine for the 1,345th time and didn't want to deal with buying new headlights and doing the wiring.
I had a million other things to do and just wanted some working headlights. I'm not saying I won't do them, but it's not a major priority.

With all that said. What are you asking for them? My ellipsoids adjustment screws are rusted solid and I can't adjust the headlights.

Well, true to classic e30 form I made it a couple days before something pops up. Today the steering got periodically tight. Didn’t think much of it until getting home and it was really right; i.e. hard to turn the wheel. Kind of like I didn’t have power steering. But if I turned the wheel say 90°, the car wouldn’t straighten back out, it would stay turned. Which I thought was weird. So there’s some definite resistance somewhere. Belt on the pump was still tight and the fluid wasn’t frothy or anything.
Rack? Pump? Joints on the steering column?
