Agree... go complete standalone system. Run new wires speakers and HU for all... Less headache better sound, even with cheap speakers... YOU CAN reuse the factory tweeters in the front doors if you run a component system in the front.

straight6pwr said: yeah the oem paint/primer are especially tough to remove. its best to leave it on and just scuff it up before painting. i did my last set with tires on, also makes it more difficult (worth the remounting fee) Kinda tough to polish the lip with the primer still on. LOL

Snyperx said: I would need to check. I know I could get them. The only issue is the cable I have only works on the newer BMW's that use the OBD type connector. E46 has the OBDII interface, let me know if you can get the files. There's some stuff I'd like to get programmed s well! Thanks.

I dont know of any in your area, sorry. [image: :(] Silver and white metallic are the hardest. The most important thing for black or darker colors is to make sure you don't see sanding scratches.

Ryan: Turnaround on two prepped calipers, assuming they're 100% perfectly sandblasted, and require no other prep work, should be 2-3 days, depending if I can get em both on the same rack or not. I'll need some monies for color, as I dont have hot pink. Shipping should take 1-2 days max I'd assume, unless Justin comes down for a weekend to see piku and he brings them with + drops them off then picks em up sunday. Dan: that is correct. You cant coat anything with rust, or it will flake. Oils or anything else will cause bubbling. Perfectly clean is the name of le game

UPDATE FINAL: In the end it ended up being the battery was not registered with the car when it was replaced. Jon Lancaster Toyota was the dealer that replaced the battery prior to sale. So up to this point the car has been running great.

You are over paranoid lol!! All these e9x have the loudest noiset engines BMW has ever made. Everyone has the same concern at first. Just drive it and learn it well. And Disconnect the battery over right. Just the negative terminal and be sure not to close the trunk. Next day drive it like a bat put of hell. You'll get some hidden power back that the car has bc it's so adaptive to driving.

Im sure you could bypass it, but then you wont have the dim function. It could just be an open circuit somewhere though.. but that still wouldn't make sense.

Well all the responses are much appreciated I solved it for only $10 out of pocket and about 1 and a half hour of labor. Found some of the exact same fabric with some bish fabric glue and I sewed the hole shut then applied the patch and glue.
