Official-look-what-i-found-thread (craigslist, other-forums, etc)That e30 M3 has been up for awhile too. I can't remember what the original asking price was, but I don't think its changed much, if at all. I'd imagine that it'll continue to sit until the price is dropped a good bit.
I love the boston green too, friggin gorgeous.
Original was 75k the first time I saw it.

Official-look-what-i-found-thread (craigslist, other-forums, etc)Look at this clean engine bay!

Saw that. If only it wasnt for the "automatic trans started acting weird"
It could just be low fluid, I know those trans are notorious for leaking. Or, it could be toast. If it sits for awhile I may try to lowball him. Then again, I have enough projects and am trying to get into a new house soon.

Official-look-what-i-found-thread (craigslist, other-forums, etc)Offer him 15k. I want to see his response. I bet before that auction even he, himself, didnt think that car was worth over 15k.
-
Value in parting out?It boils down to if you have a) the space for a carcass to sit, and b ) time. You should easily be able to part out that car for 3k+.
The downside is the e36 market is full of stancebois and drift missle pilots looking for everything for nothing. Prepare to deal with a lot of people who jag you around endlessly and then likely just stop communicating all together.
If you have the space, and the patience, then part er out. If you dont have those two things, just dump it as a complete car.
-
Official-look-what-i-found-thread (craigslist, other-forums, etc)I agree. But do you really think its worth what he is asking?
Nope, not in the condition it is in. Its a 5k car without the body rust/damage
-
Official-look-what-i-found-thread (craigslist, other-forums, etc)Would be a beautiful car if it wasnt for the rust

Let's see where the magic happens *garage photos*on a long enough timeline we all become a shell of our former selves

Let's see where the magic happens *garage photos*Definitely! It was in the house when I moved in.
I do have some advice... don't use nails to build it. The previous owner used nails on it and with some weight on the other side it collapsed. I got it all put back together using screws and it's solid now.I can't remember the last time I used nails for anything. I have to redo my deck this year because whoever built it was a dumbass and used nails.

chit chat threadJust found out there is a Lemons rally that isn't on either coast, in fact it's right here. This would be a lot of fun
That would be a blast

Let's see where the magic happens *garage photos*Do you have plans for that shelving/bench. Or could you snap some more pics of how its built.
I want to build something like that along my back wall.

Official-look-what-i-found-thread (craigslist, other-forums, etc)What would you guys pay for this considering the drive?
I have no clue about the value of those cars. But, in general, I wont normally pay much more than $500 for something that needs to be trailered.

EVENT: Kart Meet and Eat, Saturday Feb 24th @ 10:00amHas anyone talked to Veloce? Is there a pre-register event code or something?
You do have to "register" which you can do online ahead of time to save having to do it when you get there

Das VertYou could always do a whole interior redye. It would be a huge undertaking but if you like black interior it may be worth it!
(Its also something you could do while waiting for the lift)
Ive thought about it. Not sure its something I want to tackle. If I found a full donor interior I would do the swap, but I dont want to dye. The rear seats have some seams separating, and the door cards/rear seat sides arent in the best shape on the top edge from, what I assume is, sun damage. Hard to find vert parts though.
-
Das VertOh yea, I also swapped the seats. Stock seats were in bad condition. Parts car seats were in good condition. Granted, they aren't the right color, but I have a habit of building cars with an identity crisis. They will have to do until I can find some clean tan replacements. Only takes 10 minutes to swap them out.
