The touring is not happening. BMW CCA decided to cancel it and refund the three people that had paid. They wanted to see at least 20 cars registered and only 3 had signed up. I'm not certain that the e30 gtg is happening either. I know I will not be there. I find out the status and post it up asap

I unfortunately won't be able to attend, but all of you (with e30s) should go!

Sign up on motorsportreg asap if you want to do the touring (driving on the track) at lunch. If they don't get enough people signed up soon, they'll cancel the touring portion of the event.

E30 Gathering at OktoberFAST

All Day Event

Location: Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI

Sponsor: Badger Bimmers

Based on the success of this summer's first E30 gathering a second get together has been scheduled to coincide with OktoberFast - the Badger Bimmer driving school at Road America.

The E30 gathering is scheduled for Saturday, September 29th. If you want to participate in on-track touring and/or attend the Saturday night banquet you must complete the registration process.

The charge for the Saturday night banquet is $25 per person. Lots of the people registered for the driving school will also attend this banquet. The banquet is held at the Millhome Supper Club just south of Kiel. Millhome is about 15 minutes from the track. There will be a cash bar at 6:30pm and dinner will be served at 7:30pm.

Track touring during lunch hour is also available. This is your chance to drive a few laps of the world famous Road America track. Speeds are limited to 50mph using a number of pace cars. Touring will start at about 12:15 and there is a mandatory meeting for all touring drivers at 11:30 on the hill just below the Gear Box concession stand. The fee for track touring is $10. All fees collected for touring will be donated to the Badger Bimmer charity - Feeding America of Southeastern Wisconsin.

All participations in track touring (drivers and passengers) must sign the club waiver and wear a guest wrist band. Everyone 18 and over must sign an adult waiver and there will be minor waivers available for those under 18. All those driving must be at least 18 years old and passengers must be at least 10 years old.

During the day you'll also have the ability to watch the driving school activities and attend the novice classroom sessions. There's no charge for attending the novice classroom sessions.

Thanks again to all of you for making it out. It turned out to be a really great day. Weather cooperated (except for one quick downpour that lasterd all of two minutes) and there was no shortage of E30s! I counted over 30 all together. Now that we've got some history behind us, we can plan to make the event even bigger and better next year. Again, thanks to the Badger Bimmers chapter of the BMW CCA for sponsoring the park rental and the food & beverages. We have some ideas for next year that we will be sharing soon to ask for input. Thanks again!!!!!

Awesome! I'd think that the only requirements for the logo would be that it says E30 GTG 2012 and maybe the outine or shape of the state of Wisconsin. I'm very open to suggestions!

This last meeting was at Concours. I think that it moved there from Libiamos Restaurant because it closed. I haven't heard yet where the next meeting will be, but I'll post up once I hear...

the roundel is nice, the letters section is just everyone bitching about how new bmws suck.

I've been a member for a few years. Dan, I'd like to hear more about your experience. Maybe on the phone. I've been attending the past few board meetings. They are helping with funding for the E30 GTG that I've planned. I'll be posting more about that in a minute!!

Eurowerks is this weekend up in Minneapolis, MN. The show is on Saturday, June 25th.

Starts at 3pm and awards are at 8:30pm.

There is a rally up there that's leaving from the park and ride off of I-94 and HWY G in Pewaukee on Friday morning at 11am.

I've got a block of rooms reserved at the Super8 in Golden Valley, MN and it's $138 including tax for the two nights combined.

Gibson's in Neenah is pretty big. We go up there for lots of VR6 parts and Mk1 & Mk2 parts. There are a lot of E30's there, but I never saw an E36 or newer. It is a pull it yourself scrapyard.

There is a place called Dave's that's north of west bend that has a white 2dr 325e. It's got some parts left on it fwiw...

They also had a 1992 318i convertible (e30) that had lots of parts left last time I was there too.
