I've contacted this dude about a month ago.  According to him, there's a fair amount of rust.

First result is a red door!

Dude, I'm sorry, I'm not seeing it.  I sorted by distance near 53207, then 53558, thinking you're in Madison so the search may be different, no dice. The nearest door I see is in IL and no mention of red.  What parameters were you searching with?  Or can you give me the contact info that you found?  I'm flat out stumped as to how you found it in red.

I'm looking for an Electric Driver's door.

Anyone have an 89-91 e34 driver door?

The one I have is so rusted, I'm one more pothole away from the lower half just falling off.

If beggars are allowed to be choosers, It would be in Brillantrot.

    Much appreciated.

Anyone have an 89-91 Front Driver's door for an e34?  It would be even better if it were in red.

I'll even settle for 92-95 door.  I don't even care.  I'll gut the thing and rewire it to work, at this point.

Big Red's getting a bit rusty there...

"That label (weight & wheel label) should say "535i/A USA" ...the model number has a " / " between the "i" and "A" which indicates that the specs are for the manual AND automatic models imported to the USA...not that your car should have an auto tranny."

Holy Shit, this is it!  This is the line I've been looking for for so long!  Thank you so much.  I knew there was an explanation for it, but I never could find it.

Yup!  Funny thing is, the label in the door says 535ia, but it's manual.  If you run the VIN, it's manual.  So why is it a 535ia and not a 535i?

I'm guessing that is your e36..been seeing driving down hwy 100 recently through Hales Corners.

Yeah, that's us.  It's my wife's car.  It's got a CF hood and black spoked wheels, so it tends to stand out.  She and the kid do running around there a lot.

Big Red, the e34, is me.  Gimme a beep beep if you see either of us.  It gives us a cheap thrill.

Found this lil guy in Costco at Hales Corners.

My wife likes the pretty blue calipers you're not seeing in this pic.

So...how'd it go? 10 people in a parking lot doing donuts?

Please excuse the pessimism. Historically, Milwaukee can't plan and execute a car meet to save its life.

Which is hilarious to me. I've seen impromptu car meets with attendance in the triple digits executed in less than 72 hours in LA.

According to Faceyspace, there's a good chunk of people going.  More than 100...

My Pop's a Mechanical Engineer that now supplies engine parts to every engine maker on the planet (Federal Mogul). We got into a conversation years ago on why it's better to remove unsprung mass before sprung mass and what the exact benefits would be. He busted out some paper and started crunching numbers. It was amazing to see someone calculate this stuff without any reference material. Half way through his calculations, I remembered UUC and pulled up the .pdf on that page.

"Well shit, that saves me a lot of trouble. I was going to start weighing those parts in a few minutes to finish the variables."

We were so impressed that they put up their work I ended up buying their 8.5lb flywheel/e34 M5 clutch combo for my last car. Night and day difference in performance.

If you wanna get REALLY nerdy. UUC has an interesting article on their site that includes the mathematical breakdown of drivetrain rotational mass loss resulting in more "Buttdyno" power.

That's what I hear. I'm prepping myself for crummy sleep by sleeping in thesame bed as my wife, her legion of pregnancy pillows, a 4lb yorkie terrier and waking up whenever she decides that my 1/4 of the bed is the side she wants to sleep on.

I'm soon to be a father, so much of my freetime is spent prepping the house, assembling baby furniture and minding a 7 months pregnant wife.

But when I do have time, I go internetting, fiddle with the home network and my ancient computer gear, or play Assasin's Creed or some racing game like one of the Forzas or Grid.
