  • Best way to drain an E30 fuel tank?

    General Technical

large tank e30's (with transfer tube and single in tank pump)  drain plug on the passenger side.  takes an allen. do not take off the transfer tube (below the driveshaft) as it will most likely crimp the tube.

small tank e30's (dual pumps in tank ...one on each side)  should be on the same side.

You won't be the only V8 E30 rolling around. My buddy just parted out his 2.7i turbo build, and is putting in a boosted iron block LsX motor. :3 Should be a good time.

well, that should make 4 of us then.

boosted..... wow.  i thought traction was an issue already!

I'm confused. Are you boosting the s52b32 (us spec) or the s50b32 (euro)?

welcome to the forums.  i remember when I got my first e30 you were one of the few if the only guy in Wisconsin doing e30 motor swaps.

Aaah yes. The good ol days of my first swap. I think that was 8-9 years ago. You had the black 87is. Back when life was simple.

WOW, I was just marveling at the beautiful restoration of that M3, then I see it has an S54......THEN the S54 gets tossed for a V8

    just incredible!

The s54 and ls2 are about as opposite as you can imagine. In every aspect! I tripled my available torque at 3k rpm.

    Welcome! Awesome project car!

Care to share any details on the 6.0L V8 transplant? I love project cars that have interesting swaps like that!

    .

Bone stock ls2. Little engine bay, meet big shoe horn.

This is my FIRST American anything I have ever worked on. It ain't no bmw! (But I would consider it a GMW)
