Powdercoating/Painting -
Powdercoating/PaintingCalled Hy-tec and they gave me a verbal estimate. I'm planning to take the injectors off some time next week and drop off late next week. Thanks everyone!
-
Powdercoating/PaintingI don't believe there's any part number on the injectors themselves but I'll look closely when I remove them. Otherwise on Active's parts list, the injectors are labelled as INJ50 but I think that's their in-house inventory code.
-
Powdercoating/PaintingIm guessing your car is direct injected, otherwise id inquire about your injectors.
If you get some solid contact info for Hytec then ย let me know, the few times I tried to get quotes from them their website was down/phone number didnt work.ย
I'll holler at Hytec and see what they say. The S65 engine isn't direct injected. I had contacted Active and some forums regarding my rough idle after the SC install and everyone, including Active, echoed how the older injectors(Ford Racing brand) had issues with rough idling and the new injectors solved that issue plus was able to increase hp. The cynic in me didn't take Active's claim on face value but a couple of the other forum posters are legit members. I just want this rough idle solved. Nothing's more embarrassing than sitting in a SC M3 that stalls at warm start ups

Anyone here ride cyclocross? (and general bike stuff)More info on that tricycle!
That tricycle hanging in my picture? No idea, got it at a junk sale for like $20.

Powdercoating/PaintingSo I'm upgrading the injectors after my supercharger install that's supposedly adding 40+whp this week(old injectors causing some rough idle anyways) and since I have to take the new manifold out, I'm thinking of getting it painted red. It's currently a textured black that's chipping on some spots. The stripping is probably gonna be the labor intensive part but I'm debating if I should just media blast and powder coat. Who's the go-to shops/people that offer either service?

New member from GreenfieldAwesome!, Why 2 BOVs?
inb4 Tsweers says your car sucks
Actually there's 3 BOV's, one right at the bottom. And I don't quite remember the company's reasoning to be honest.
And it doesn't suck, it BLOWS bahahaha

Uh oh cruisers....Lol, I already am skirting the law with no fronts ;x I did however get pulled over 3 weeks ago for no fronts or rear plates. I had just detailed the car and forgot to put them on. Luckily it was just a warning(car was obviously clean still), lmao.

Anyone here ride cyclocross? (and general bike stuff)I used to ride road a lot throughout college(UW-Milwaukee alumni). I think on a couple of years, I crossed the 11k miles mark. Then I graduated, tried to keep up with cycling but it's a losing battle. Heck, I haven't even touched my bike for 2 years now? Just gathering dust and I used to change bikes way too often. I have a mountain bike and try to get out as much as possible but the idea of driving to a location just to ride defeats the purpose of cycling.... And with my schedule, it's hard to find someone to ride with. Sigh, the good old days. I would really like to try cyclocross but once again, time is so limited. Heck, I'm staying up past midnight the past 2 weeks to work on my car

Current hanging road bike (Pinarello) and mountain bike(Trek) gathering dust

Collection of past bikes
Specialized Venge

Specialized Tarmac(Cavendish edition!)

I think there were 8-9 other bikes if you include the TT bikes, over the span of 4 years. Yes, I had a problem.. ;x

New member from GreenfieldSo everything remaining should arrive today. Spent yesterday changing the oil and buttoning everything else back on. Luckily the missing bits are accessible without anything needing to come off. Sooooooooo one last photo before firing her up today/tomorrow. I'm hoping the next update won't have me looking for a replacement engine :X Saturday is supposed to have excellent weather so I'll see all you fine folks then!

New member from GreenfieldNothing peeves me off like realizing there's a missing part right at the very end. Last night was just one issue after another. There's an adapter and vacuum like that goes from the manifold oil drain to the driver side crankshaft breather(it's missing argh!) Then the air filter is damaged so need to overnight the parts. Soooo close I can lick the finishing line. Guess I'll button the rest up and do an oil change while I wait for parts. Gonna send in a sample to black stone labs. I might still make the picnic this Saturday!

New member from GreenfieldJust the SC kit according to previous owner. Just the kit alone is rated at 630hp and 430 tq iirc(I'm fully catless which has shown 20 or so hp gain for the e92 M3). Frankly if my dyno runs showed 500 at the wheels, I'd be a happy clam.
-
New member from GreenfieldLol @ Snap. I'm hoping to be done by tomorrow :-X Just waiting on supercharger oil to be delivered and the tune file to be emailed back to me.
Target numbers are around 650 hp/450 tq. Previous owner had dynoed like 520 at the wheels but he didn't have any other mods so I'm hopeful!
