Today is the day where I attempt to install a set of MS springs on my F82. I do have the help of a more experienced buddy and from what I've researched, it's not rocket science. Still this is a little beyond where I've gone before. The irony is somehow I think I am smarter than the BMW engineers by installing a $300 set of springs on my $80K car. Wish me luck...UGH!

Today is the day - New springs on F82 -
Preferred and Despised Tire Brands (Poll)I worked in the Les Stumpf Ford Parts Dept. during the tire recall. Man, what a pain. Tons and tons of people got a free set of tires. Some of the manufacturers couldn't keep up.

New member in AppletonHey! Just thought I would introduce myself. Just got my YMB F82 this past fall. Traded by 335 M Sport and before that it was an X3. Wave if you see me around town.
Here is a pic as my car sat about a week after delivery. I'm currently in the process of mainly exterior color mods. Lowering and spacers is happening in a couple weeks, once the warm weather is consistent. It also has a JB4 Stage 1.

Today is the day - New springs on F82You had me at shaft! No. I stayed with stock.
So, it took us four hours for all four springs. All in all it went pretty smoothly considering it was our first time. The fronts actually ended up being less of a pain than the rear. I drove it around a little today and the wheels didn't fall off so I am calling it a success. Unfortunately, the spacers didn't go on due to clearance issues with the snow tires. I am holding off on putting my freshly polished summers on until at least the beginning of May. I will add before and after pics.
