From the reading I have done OE is the way to go. I haven't had any issues in the 45k since I rebuilt my m50 and I hit redline every time I drive it. [image: :)] I miss driving it...
I agree cutting corners hasn't gotten me anywhere and it seems like learning things is never easy! My only addition is tools, having the right ones help a great deal.
and as far as hg goes and head bolts I'm looking at going for a cut ring hg to run high boost psi, and arp head bolts. the stock ones would literally just break in half from what i plan on running long term in the end.
