trailer hitches mounted like they do with the bolt on type (Curt, Class 1) are pretty weak (150lb tongue, 1500lb total) but there is plenty of frame back there to work with to make a custom one much stronger. i have to see if it could be done with square steel tubing easily.  i'm really more interested in the strut bar, but hell if i know how im going to cut the steel plates that need to be welded. that would take me days with a dremel.
