Sorry, just saw your reply. I paid $4000, needed some work. Ran like crap and interior was filthy. Headlights had the dreaded ZKW burnt bowls. It was running rough because of worn out intake boots. I cleaned it up and fixed what needed to be fixed.

Just got a new to me ZHP a month ago. sold my old E34 and got this for a winter ride. Love it so far. 

I got the parts car, next weekend is when I plan on tearing it all down. It's a bit cold right now.

all thats going to be left is the motor and sheet metal shell. I will be letting stuff go as people need them if I don't need them. I just can't store the whole car.

My last one, 1994 530i, drove great with traction control. no problems in the hills in my area. you just need good tires like anything else.

this car is way better than my old Camry winter car.

Welcome!  I spent some time looking at "German Corvettes" some years back and know that a 90 928 S4 is a sweet machine.

I actually won a first place troph at the Spring Green car show for my class, 1984-1993 slot. there were over 550 cars there.

Welcome, You aren't far from me over in Platteville, there are a few other guys in the area too, we did a cruise from Spring Green to Devils lake earlier this year.  Look into Fluid Film to prevent rust before it starts.  I spray it on my rusty vehicles to hold the current rust where it is at and works well.  I have a sprayer for it that works really well which you could borrow if you are interested.

I guess we will have to hook up sometime. no rust on my 1995 yet.

How are the doors on your 93? That one would be Island Green like mine. Yours is Oxford. I assumed yours was Oxford since it seems to be the most common e34 color I have seen=) 

My parts car is a 1993 525i green but rusty. I'm going to stripp it starting this weekend.

Looks like I have some work ahead of me. I don't have room to keep it long term. I will be stripping all I can and storing it in the basement. I try to sell what I don't think I will need on craigslist or some of these forums. thanks for the replies guys. I will be saving door seals, door regulators, lights front and rear, coils, alternator,guage cluster, sunroof motor, some sensors, electronics, transmission, some interior parts, battery, tires/wheels, radiator, front susspension, (which is new). I might save the front clip for someone else, and the trunk lid.

new to the board. second E34. last one was a 1994 530i, motor went, sold it. new one for this winter is 1995 525i. needs clear coat fixed, no rust, not even in the doors. my summer drivver is a 1990 Porsche 928 S4.
