That's my plan eventually. I'll sort it out some day. but I refuse to put on the US diving boards. Maybe I'll retrofit late model E30 front bumpers onto this.

So, I decided to go back to my home town area, hang out with 2 of my best friends from my childhood. Ironically, we all own BMW's. Too bad we don't have E39's or this photo would fit perfectly.

This is basically my friends and I. Only we roll in E28's, E32's and E36's.

Anyways, enough about how I miss having friends. Onto photoshoot stuff. One of our friends we went to highschool with is becoming a relatively decent photogtrapher. She does some decent work, Made us drive on dirt (terrible idea, I cleaned my car, and got my car dirty fast. yay rallying)

Disregard my passengers side bumper sagging, in the process of driving to the shoots location, I managed to bottom out the bumper in a parking lot and lost a mounting bolt.

          Anyways, here's a few photos!

          Leon's Ice Cream, ftw!

RX-8's got an agency power exhaust, shoots massive flames. And is for sale, or trade for an FD RX-7.

          Posted Image

          Typical gas station shot.

          Posted Image

My rust spot, showing like a champ. And a shout out to Jeremy Cliff and Brad Sillars!

          Posted Image

Only shot that really shows how low I am.. I burn grass pulling onto a freshly mowed lawn.

And the last 2 are when the E36 broke it's shift linkage. So I got to utilize my 535I's massive torque specs to tow his ass all the way home!

          Posted Image

He wasn't upset about it, because he's got an E30 325IS at home to drive to work till he gets a new shift linkage.

And here's the honda being parked on campus, my friend uses the excuse, "it's to cold to walk to the pub from the parking lot, so I drove" Haha

That's basically me and my friend with the E36, and my friend with the E32 that's not pictured currently. We all were really good friends in grade school, the one moved away, and KeepersofChaos and I have been pretty damn good friends since, and Takedown has come back into our lives as well.

I'd prefer a trade, and I'm kinda open. I'd really like to trade for a BMW 2002, or the original Mini Cooper, obviously I couldn't get a mint one though, seeing as my car I don't think is worth a relatively mint one.

Honestly, the whole, manual VS automatic thing doesn't bother me. I'd like a manual. But automagic doesn't bother me.

IDK what I'd take for trades..

How about getting an E21 and swapping an M30 into it? Theres that black E21 on CL for $500 right now.

But then again, you already have an M30 powered car so theres some motivation towards keeping the E28

                                  Link me to the E21!

The M30 doesn't have as much power as you'd think. It's all top end, and even then, it's not as much as I'd like. Granted, I can keep up with an 08 Charger. But it just doesn't have the power I want. I think it just needs an over haul. Motor is mint, runs fine, doesn't burn oil, burns a tiny bit of coolant, but is perfect otherwise. I'd like to pull it apart, bore it out to 4L like the Metric Mechanics 4L M30. But that's big kid money

As with anything K-jet, it could be a turn of the mixture screw to get it running, or it could be a total nightmare :P Do you have a chip for your M30? It looks like the Turner and MarkD chips do wonders for the M30.

Nah, I don't have a chip, I wanna get a header back exhaust for now, basically some sick tubular headers, and 2.5" straight back, but thats if I keep this thing.

That E21 isn't bad. But a bit more of a project then I want. I'd only jump on something in that condition if it was a 2002, or an Original Mini, those are about the only ones I'd really go to any length to try to restore. But I'd love other people's options ;)

^at that price, I'd just not buy it an save myself the money. My motor has nothing done to it, not even a cold air intake. Which I gotta do at some point, and I have a "custom" exhaust, which needs to be replaced from me scraping everywhere.

I wanna get at dinan chip at some point.
