Yeah. Its like cancer. It just spreads. And when you think its gone. it comes back.
I finally showed him the car. And he likes it a lot. Hopefully he can get some money saved up for it. If you still have it. I am tired of him borrowing my car and my other brothers.
Engine space and power I think for me is the most important factor for a sound car. Because I have a 380 amp alternator in the jetta. And I am adding a 2nd alternator next year. But because of the weight and the extra belt accessories. And the cars low power. Its very slow.
Plenty of engine space and no shortage of power with this car.
I'm hoping not to have it long. I want it gone ASAP so I can pick up something else, or trade for something else.

He was just talking in the kitchen about how he would love to have it. I hope he saves up for the funds.

If my dad was still around. You know we would. We could have traded you tons of stuff. We mostly just have a bunch of bmw parts. Like bench seats, and front seats, and such.

Don't think I'm really looking for an e28.

Haha Tom, am I going to have to buy another ride from you?!
I think you just might...

took the car for the first real test drive today. only running around 8-9psi right now but it feels good and pulls hard. shifts are quite firm with the shimmed accumulators.
-
Okay, I've gotten to the point where I just don't have the time or desire to have two project cars, so the white car needs to go. I'd let it go for $1300 as it is right now. Someone, please come take it away.
of course, trades would still be great. my value for a trade is higher than the cash value to me right now.

put on a fresh rebuilt turbo today... going to have to shorten the downpipe to fit.
-
Rebuilt stock. Good for about 200 at the wheels. It's a T3 based turbo, so building it up is cheap and easy.
-
Keep it! Its a neat and original ride.
-
no need! i have TWO of them!
-
The blue car is now turbocharged. Runs fantastic. Running open 3" downpipe right now; it's loud.
At low boost while I shake things down, then it will be progressively raised.

sold it to a friend today for $1050. finally.... down to one project.

Could I get a quick scoop on what the interest is behind volvos? I know they last forever and that's all I know. Like for instance, what cheap Volvo would you buy for some decent gas mileage, moderate mods, and not a wagon. Haha. Perferably old. Like the old 240 cars I have seen.
