So I don't know a lot about the e90 chassis, but what does LCI mean? Was that a mid-chassis update? Kind of like early to late e30's?
I know I could google this easily, but it's not important enough to me to search through search results.
Life Cycle Impulse. So it's a mid generation face lift. On some cars it's more dramatic than others. On the e90 it was new front bumper, headlights, taillights, hood, kidneys, wheel options and I believe it moved the iDrive to the CIC unit. The LCI models also introduced the option for an M Sport as opposed to pre-LCI that had the sport package and optional M Performance bumpers that could be installed after delivery. It also dropped the N54 later in the LCI for the N55. It's mostly cosmetic.

Made the drive from Orlando to Minneapolis! Trip was great besides a small hiccup with the Hampton hotel in Asheville, NC. Rolled into town deliriously tired at 1:30am, only to find they didn't clean the room prior to our arrival and the previous tenants decided to piss the bed. They put a fresh comforter over about 2 gallons of piss soaked mattress. Did I accidentally lay in it? Yup! Piss out of luck they say. We did get the room for pee... I mean free. So pissed. In all seriousness they did refund the room and put us up in some cots.
The car was great, but not without issue, it's a BMW after all. Threw an ABS/DSC/Brake light about 2hrs in. Luckily brought my scanner with and turned out to be a rear wheel speed sensor, so thank god its just that. Otherwise car handled the trip perfectly. Here's a shot at a scenic overlook right before hopping on Tail of the Dragon

First thing first I tossed on a TMS pedal set. Decided to try out the silver set to switch it up from the black set in my M3. Had to install the hardware in a weird sequence on the brake pedal because I couldn't fit bolts in the top left or top center due to the angle the arm connects. Oh well, it works and looks pretty slick!

Well that's gross... At Least you got a scenic drive home
Every trip I go on something bad happens, par for the course for me lol

Tail of the Dragon! This has always been a bucket list road for me, and it blew my expectations out of the water. Not only are the curves a blast, but most of them are banked too! The ride height wasn’t ideal for this and we had a couple rubs. Strangely enough only from the passenger rear, where it was tapping the fender liner.
Love this little 328 though. Tackled 2,000mi and being pushed at tail of the dragon without a break. Impressed how smooth it is!

Beautiful car. Definitely a better car than that E92 was, even though it was kinda cool.

Time to tackle the big chungus of N52 oil leaks. Could BMW have achieved the 50/50 weight distribution without putting the pan directly above the subframe/steering rack? Of course not! It was a fairly minor leak and the under tray caught all of it, but just don't want it leaking on my driveway. Luckily the car had the valve cover, spark plug tube seals, both eccentric shaft seals and oil filter housing gaskets replaced in the last 7k miles. Feels worth it to button up the last of the oil leak possibilities.

I swear getting parts in the mail is like crack. Sometimes I get so bored I toss in an order for small cosmetic things, because they’re satisfying to replace. Noticed my rear trunk release handle was cracking, so I rationalized a water leak was possible. It must be replaced!! Then I decided to fix the driver cup holder because it wouldn’t come out. Busted it apart and found the retainer wheel had fallen off. Now I can go through drive thrus woohoo! Also replaced the cup holder trim because I scuffed up the original one getting it off, damn soft touch… didn't hurt since the original one looked like someone blew a snot rocket into it.

Well that seems like poor oversight

Little update after taking off the plastic under-tray. Seems as if the item in the road actually hit the center support so hard it bent it INTO the front subframe, denting it. Doesn't seem to have bent it or thrown anything out of alignment, but I'm certainly no expert. Anyone have any advice or insight on the severity of a hit like this?

Holy cow!
Right?! By the sound of it I was surprised it didn't shoot right through the floor lol. I immediately pulled over, shut the car off and crawled under expecting oil to be everywhere. I suppose this is better than if it hit the oil pan or trans huh!
