Went to the drag strip at WIR a few weeks ago, what better time to try out launch control for the first time than being on the spot. I failed every single time, I think I can get in the 12s, I just have to learn how to send it properly.

Now I want more power, but I also want to save up for a g87 once I finish paying this one  off before next summer.

Not much has been going on other than spending a lot of time detailing and it looks like I’m getting good at it.  I used Adam’s “9” year ceramic coat, I doubt it will last even half as long around here. The result is amazing, I would easily pay for this service. So easy to maintain and so hard to get dirty, looking forward to washing this tomorrow.

Who else had a blast shoveling a few weeks ago?  It didn’t seem to bother my hip injury, which is great for my mobility. Winter setup working well, I took a few snaps of the damage.

Yeah, that was an experience. I nearly buried my truck trying to help some poor fella who butmried his civic on shitty tires in a 18” snowdrift on Capitol in Brookfield. 
 

I then went home, unburied the E34, and proceeded to rip big slides through the business park for an hour. Good times.

They worked well, I did get stuck one time at the end of my subdivision, but I was able to get out after clear traffic

Getting condensation on the passenger side headlight, now my DRLs don’t work.  Not sure if this can get fixed.

Finally got around to getting the Adro front lip fitted, looks nearly complete.

The f87 is about to turn 70K, time to shop around for maintenance items, including upgrading my charge pipe and cooler.  I’m also making room in my garage to restore my m3

It’s my 1st car, I picked it up in Chicago back in 2004, drove it for about 8 years until I found the s50b32. I had just got a house a few years earlier and was too busy to work on it.

Best weekend ever at Gridlife last weekend in RA, hung out and camped with the MartiniWorks crew, they were all so welcoming. They let me take my car to the campground and we had a great time at the concerts. The only thing that would have made it better was registering for the HPDE (I thought it was a drift event). I have never been so motivated to get one of my cars into drifting (my e46 325) than I do now. It was surreal, can’t wait till next year.

Finally got my headlight assembly replaced, only to run into a burnt out circuit board, now I’m waiting for delivery with only one working headlight, can’t drive at night for another few weeks

I decided to take it in since I don’t know how to solder a new connector. I’m also looking to add another car since I sold one of my properties, I see some go for as low as $50k with only 12k miles

I can finally drive at night (or early morning). Running like new at 75k miles, spark plugs are next.  Car expenses have averaged out to around $900 a year the last four years. I will now look for a part time job to get upgrades for this build (carbon fenders and FBO while setting up for a bigger turbo)
