New wheels. E39/E38 Style 5's. 16x8, 23ET. Will be running 4x100 to 5x120 42 Draft Designs adapters. Wheels will be wrapped in 205/45/16 Kuhmo Ecsta PS31.
Tires on these are in almost new condition, so will have those dismounted and will sell them. Should be close to breaking even on what I paid for the wheels and tires.
Old wheels will be posted for sale shortly. Took them off the car and put the stock wheels back. I kind of dig this look.
When my buddy who runs a wrap business has space in his schedule, I'm going to have him wrap the window trim black. Think it will really change the look of the car. And then can always go back to the chrome if I can my mind.
My fan issue was actually not with my clutch fan. Turns out the resistor(I assume)is "stuck" open on my auxiliary fan, so it is just always running. Not nearly as concerning, but would still like to fix the issue. I've seen there's something like changing a relay or fuse of the fog-lights to the one for the fan and that by passes? I don't know, I'll likely just get a new resistor.
Got my small maintenance parts package as well. New VCG, rocker shaft cover plug, crankcase breather hose, air filter, spark plugs, and a clutch for the fan. Will start this probably throughout the week.

Buy some flow formed wheels, will make those 14s feel like they’re made out of lead lol
-
I must be a n00b because those stock wheels look just like the Style 5's you bought, lol.

They’re pretty much exactly the same except for the center waffles. These have the hex, other wheels have more of a flush center. Also the dimensions of the wheels.

I had looked at these, but for $65? The plugs cost me $2

It is known.
I've been meaning to get some of those, what size are the plugs?

I believe they are the 1" ones. I just used my key as a reference when I went into the store.
Got them from Ace/Kitz & Pfile in their hardware section.

After talking with @MPW3RLee, he had suggested just having their wheel touch up guy at the shop take care of them after he got the tires mounted on the new wheels.
They came out great, look brand new. Saved me a ton of time and sanding working as well.
I’m really happy with the result. These feel much more appropriate on the car. I think I’ll even be able to run the center waffles if I want to.
I am still waiting on the rear set. But seeing as I’m going to be up north for a week, figured I’d get these now.

Rears are on. Really happy with the car, so much better than before. Fitment is pretty much perfect all the way around. Thanks again to @suspenceful for the help with the rolling the fenders.

those wheels look great!
dont forget to keep the appropriate tools in the car if you ever intend on changing a flat on the road. its a pain in the ass it is to remove the front adapters with a wrench/breaker once torqued down!

Car had a full paint correction done on by Auto Trim Design in Neenah. After getting the car to my parents garage, spent the next couple of days costing the car in Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and then topped with EXO V3. This should last me probably over 2 years with proper washing and no winter driving. I also coated the wheels.
Paint correction and the coating have made it very red. Pictures really don’t do it justice how good it looks. If you’re still using waxes on your cars, make the switch. It’s very easy to apply.

Looks great.
still don’t buy into all the ceramic coating snake oil shit though
