Hey folks, I just joined the forum.

I bought a couple of things from Snap on a different forum and he encouraged me to check out WiBimmers.

Although I'm from Illinois (west burbs of Chicago) I am no foreigner to Wisconsin so I hope it's not a problem

I've had an E36 and an E39 previously and still have an E46, E60, and currently building an M20B28(likely boosted) for my E30 track car.

I've finally taken my E30 out of my garage and into my mechanic's garage to force me to get it running right.

Once I've put together the e30 I'll write up the story of the build. I feel like I'm very close but I've been saying it for 4 years. This time it's the real deal... I think...

Thanks guys.

I just dropped off the most of the big engine bits at the machine shop to get worked on (o-ring the block, balance the crank, polish the camshaft, and deck and weld the head)

Should be done by weeks end.

Then I'll laser clean the block (will get some videos), paint, and assembly are next.

Well the machine shop is giving me the run around. May have to sacrifice another head to the e30 gods...

The laser cleaning is a sight to see indeed. Its a neat technology and it may be a bit overkill but it should make for a good video but for now I wait
