Are the campsites in a certain area best?  I have never camped there before.

chris and i camped over by the johnsonville bridge for IMSA last august, was a pretty good spot by the track. the inside of the carousel is supposedly one of the more rowdy areas though

I was in the middle of the carousel last year, really not horrible but definitely a bit rowdy in the evening, closest to the showers though. I'll be in the small group of spots between turn 7 and 8 this year, I have no idea how it is for camping but wanted to try another area

I can confirm that inside the carousel is rowdy from what I've seen and experienced the past few years that I have camped at RA.  We usually stay near turn 3 which is a lot quieter.  I will definitely be there for IMSA weekend with a group of buddies and their wives/fiances and possibly my wife.  If you're with a little one then i'd highly suggest the turn 3 area.  It's also got some nice shaded areas.

We don't usually designate a meet up area but we always end up running into each other and hanging out throughout the weekend.  I always manage to find Andy on accident and usually I purposely meet up with Chris and Co.

I'm hoping to make it out for the Hawk Vintage Weekend and Indy/Pirelli World Challenge.

I will avoid the carousel camping then.  It will be my 5 year old and I, she is excited to go see race cars.  My wife avoids loud stuff and large groups of people so she didn't want to come lol.

I will warn you.  It is a TON of walking.  We're talking about miles walked everyday up and down hills.  I don't know how athletic your 5 year old is but I frequently hear adults complaining (my wife) about all of the walking.  Bike's help if you can bring 2 of them.

I specifically purchased a moped a few weeks ago to avoid walking.

I have one at home and I'm trying to figure out a mount for the back of our camper to get it up there.

I will be going to lots of RA events.  The Brian Redman vintage races are my favorite.  I camped in the carousel last year for that event, but I don't remember it being rowdy at all... i was kinda hoping for a little rowdiness. I've heard the superbike weekend is real rowdy.

I ordered tickets today for the July 20-23rd vintage races.  Campsite 287 I think it was.

My fam will be there from the 20th to the 24th. I'll be in Lake Mills at that time visiting a friend. Possible that I might drop by for a day.

Someone want to bring me some WIbimmers stickers? Looks better than a WCEC sticker 😉 (I have absolutely no association with WCEC)

I'll make sure to bring up the stickers for WIC vintage and IMSA. Matt and I will be on one of TJ's sites and then site 207 in August.

I rented a house in Elkhart for the weekend for Brian Redman so i will be up there for the weekend. I also will have my Zuma because walking sucks!
