Style 162 Wheels for 330xi
-
Hi all,
So I'm looking into picking up a set of Style 162 Wheels for my 06 330xi. The rears are half an inch wider than the front though, and I am worried about this messing with the AWD system. I know these are OEM wheels and they were offered for the xi cars, but I just want to make sure these will be fine with my car before I grab them. Has anyone owned or is currently using these?
Pic below in case anyone forgot what they look like.
Thanks guys!

width has nothing to do with AWD, traction control or any other systems. its the rolling diameter that needs to be kept in check. as long as you keep the overall diameter identical or very nearly identical front to back, you will have no problems. with only 1/2" wider rears you can still run the same tire sizes front and back and its absolutely a non-issue. i'm sure there is also a stock tire setup that has wider rear tires that is also usable.

Like he ^ said. You typically won't grenade your transfer case unless you have a 25% difference or greatee in overall diameter from one tire to the others. Run the stock 225/40 and 255/35 and you should be fine.

Perfect, that's what I needed to know. Thanks guys.

Awesome I was under the impression that it was a no no situation.
