Each Chinese New Year or so I get around to harassing/interrogating some innocent soul within our community.
This month I had the opportunity to learn wisdom from our resident mystic revelator jc43089.

Snap: It is now time to annoy you with questions for the edification of local car guys and my own twisted pleasures. You may plead the 5th at any time.
jc43089: Go for it.
S: Tell me 4 things about you and 3.5 things about your cars.
J: I am 27, married, 2 kids (both girls, 3 yrs and 5 months) I live in nowhereville Iowa but only a mile from a casino which i've never been to.
My BMW is a dismal heap of parts with no end in sight, my wife's Volvo is fast but just not like a bimmer. My ancient land cruiser is awesome to drive, besides wrapping a blanket around me to keep warm, and my Nissan is ...broken.Sorry I'm slow. I'm holding the baby and mixing Kefir.
S: Kefir??? What is this?....
....So I just Googled it and the word means "drink of the prophet". What great and marvelous things do you foresee for the WIBIMMERS community in 2016 dear revelator?
J: Fermented milk. It's tasty. Similar to yogurt. Makes for a high quality bathroom experience, lots of live active cultures.
S: Now that I know you are a prophet I understand that some of your messages come through with great symbolism. I sense that "high quality bathroom experiences" alludes to "the runs" which can only mean that all of our cars will finally run in 2016.
Am I close at all?
J: Looking deep into my Kefir... Earl's car is actually getting pretty close to complete but I dont think it will be ready until 2017, more folks will 24v swap much to your dismay, probably the most fun to watch are the beginnings of local n54/55 mega power builds, and I will continue to use run-on sentences

Not at all, everything works as God intended. I can host a fermenting class, my wife ferments everything. Sauerkraut, sweet tea, oatmeal (gross). I lean towards alcoholic ferments, I have a batch of Mead and a batch of beer going currently._
S: Last I remember, you had some innovative if not humorous casters for rear wheels and a wife displeased with your car in the front yard. What does it need before it runs again? It was taken apart for some rust repair, correct?
J: You will have to get your own Kefir and see what it tells you....
....It's about the same, in the garage at least now, most of the bottom and engine bay is sandblasted. I am partway done seam welding. I need to get that done and rust cut out and patched then put it back together. Lesson learned: just drive it and get another one from down South when it's junk.

S: Is there a BMW community for you in Iowa or was that a terrible question to ask?
J: I'm still a Wisconsinite at heart.
S: You once had a white E30 vert and I remember you taking it for a long road trip. Was that a bit nerve-wracking? or were you already aware that the M20 is God's engine and that you had no need to fear?
J: Trick question! I knew if it was a father to the M50 then it must be good to go. I had no worries despite the fact that I had only driven it a couple hundred miles before the road trip. My wife says "should I have been worried?"
S: Father. To. The. M50.

S: Do you think the BMW X1 (little SUV) is a completely pointless waste of space?
J: I think any SUV that attempts to drive like a sports car is dumb. If you want a sporty car that has lots of room, get a wagon. 540i touring, it's a no-brainer.
S: Right. And the X1 isn't even roomy.
J: Exactly, Americans obsession with SUVs is so misplaced.
S: Yes. You and I know what a REAL SUV is....
You have a classic Land Cruiser, and I have a white RAV4.
None of that Trail Mix Rated bull crap here.
J: So buy hot wagons people! 300 hp and a 6 spd manual with tons of room, the V70R anyway, although if an E39 didn't rust as easily I would have rather had a 540i touring, although my cruiser was designated as a wagon when it was new. As I heard on ih8mud forum "it was a jeep thing I didn't understand, so I got a Land Cruiser"
S: And finally is there anything you want to say before your 15 minutes of fame are over? You know, maybe some famous final words, deathbed confessions, shout outs to fellow Juggalos/rage drifters?
J: Come visit me and let me drive your BMW!
