Lack of updates has spun my thoughts on Evo ownership.

4 active posters on here and the only thing you guys have to post about is a broken mitsu turd haha.

Spun a rod bearing first time driving it more or less. Retard who assembled the block didn't check the main clearances, just believing that the manley crank was good because it was new. They were all over the place.

Oh well. At least it happened under zero load, and everything is just fine. sending the crank out tomorrow for grinding and re-nitriding, and same with the rods. Block is perfect, and so are the bores. Machine work was good, just a stupid PO who assembled. it.

He also put the floater plate on the QM twin disc on backwards LOL. Which is amazing to me, how do you buy a new clutch like that and install it wrong? Its literally brand new, looks like it never had a single pull done.

Give me another couple weeks and hopefully all is well!

honestly tho, around 3 hours and I had the thing completely taken apart, and this was outside, birds chirping, while drinking beer on a Saturday, in march, with a t shirt. It was freaking great.

but don't worry guys, in the end my evo sits outside and my bmw's are forever well taken care of. They won't lose there position, I just had another void I needed to fill.

Good work, you never know what you will get with a modified car, at least you will know it's all good when you put it back together.

First I have a soft spot for the old Nova. I'd have to have it all black with a 572 big block (twin turbo of course :).

The Grumman Olson Kubvan. Basically, it is an aluminum bodied 'mail truck' on a deisel mk1 VW rabbit chassis. They only made 500 of them so they're really hard to find, but I think it would be hilarious, and awesome, to build a vr6 (or similar) swapped mini mail truck.

For those who didn't know, japan is apparently insane. Apparently you could get a Mitsubishi Expo with AWD and an Evo motor there. I'm half tempted to built one of these...

My friend Albert had swapped a 4G63 into a Expo like 8 years ago. Im pretty sure that it was traded a bunch of times after his ownership.
