Brakes are a very important part of a car. If you can guarantee me no traffic or red lights Ill be there.

If you have time to post at eleven-something PM, then you have time to rig up some brakes!  ;)

I jest of course. The point of these events is to meet some fellow forum members/enthusiasts, hang out, and have a good  time. The important thing is actually showing up, not what you drive there.

Found out the drivers side front sway bar mount tore off the subframe. The end links are dicked too. Also realized how much I don't care. Came to the conclusion that I'll still be going

Only jerks run sway bars anyways. See you Saturday.

How long is the cruise portion of the day expected to last?

Apparently a extended family member from out of town on my wife's side will be in FDL Saturday evening, so everyone is meeting there for dinner. Wife said its fine if I'm late, but trying to lock down a timeline for everything. I'm not sure if I'll come for 1pm GTG, then head home after cruise/pics for dinner, or come down for post-cruise pics and karting and be late for dinner....

Either way - planning to take the daily E90 for now. I'd rather take the E30, but logistically it works better to take the E90.

The cruise really isn't going to be too long.

That, but with me, it's also that the car is off site and I haven't had time to get to it.  In the next month, I hope ot have it at my shed through the winter.  Then back to GB for tuning.

Who do you have doing your tuning? I almost picked up a supercharger for mine, but couldn't find anyone to tune it.

Horrible exhaust leak or not, I'm sure as hell bringing the e39. There's no way I want to be associated with the non-BMW fuckery that seems to be gathering on the Facebook event page.

Tom - I have a few BMWs, an overworked Volvo 242, and now a YouTube channel called Drive, Revive, Tinker

Might be the last meet "advertised" on Facebook. Not much we can do since we are all meeting in public places with no official reservations.

WI BIMMERS meets are always a good time though, excited to see y'all.

I just had this conversation with a friend about half an hour ago. I think it would have worked well had we been able to control the invites.

i don't see that many posts on the FB event page. Just a couple of idiots asking if their non-bmw cars are welcome and posting pics of them as if we'll be impressed and that should justify their presence even though they drive janky shitboxes.

                                          maybe i'm missing something.

i won't be karting, sadly. My side-gig has a deployment we need to do this weekend and some premium fuckery from the last software devs that we took this project over from is causing some delays. I'll be leaving after we are done cruising
