E90 Exhaust Mod- Exhaust tip question??
-
Alright, so I am going to be ordering my exhaust tips to get my M3 exhaust conversion started.... Have any of you done this on an E90 or seen/heard it? I found one person who did it and it looks great (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=752160). I have the shop and price locked down as well which is my main reason for going this route rather than purchasing an axle-back system.
Any advice, comments, concerns- let's hear 'em!
*UPDATE*
Does anyone know what size exhaust tips will fit on an e90 m3 rear? It looks like Eisenmann uses just under 3.5in/per tip. Do you think 3.5 would work? Thanks!

I am going to be doing it myself as soon as I find 2.5" exhaust pipe! All of the videos I have listened to sound awesome!

Are you removing the rear cats or are you keeping them?
-
Also- Could you send me the video clips you have heard?

And this is a great thread on the mod to the stock mufflers.
-
I plan on keeping them for now but at some point I will remove them.
-
I just realized you have a 325i instead of the 335i so I am not sure that the PE mod will work the same for you.
-
Yeah, that mod won't work for me.
I'll probably end up deleting the rear cat and have a pipe welded to the muffler. Then take the secondary pipe and have that bent and welded to mimic the M3 look.

sounds like a diesel-powered popcorn maker. a little bit of gurgle is nice, but that seems excessive.
