I just happened to be going through my morning of normal automotive articles and came across this piece. Its pretty astonishing that someone would take "re-paint" this far. I guess he really is a BMW owner...

It sucks that these issues aren't disclosed but it's not always the dealers fault for damage before delivery. Cars can come off the truck with damage but it's billed to the shipper and fixed at the body shop then put on the lot.

This is kind of a tangent but I have a bigger issue with carfaxes not being accurate. Having a car crashed at dealer and then being able to repair it under the table is what this case should have been about. This isn't in reference to something that happen at concours, auction cars from other dealers had this issue. It's a flawed system.

shipping damage is quite common. There are body repair folks at or near the ports to take care of the smaller things.
