Stance Park after Dark 2014 was pretty large so I'm guessing it's gonna be live.

Just booked my hotel for Timmayfest.  Here is what they posted for the schedule:

        Timmayfest 2015 Event Schedule.

        What is Timmayfest?
Timmayfest is a BMW/Mercedes Benz/Exotics car meet put together by true enthusiasts. It is not a car "show" (though we do hand our some trophies) and there is no entrance fee. It is just a gathering of people who share a passion for high performance driving machines. Timmayfest really started out as a small BMW/Mercedes car meet of people who only knew each other by talking over online car forums such as M5board.com,Ohiobimmers.com, and MBworld.com. We decided it was finally time to get together and meet the people behind the computer screen. We chose to hold it in Columbus, Ohio since it was a central location to those involved. I volunteered to organize it along with help from a few other local guys. Jokingly, we named it "Timmayfest" after my screen name that I use on the before mentioned forums, Timmay77, which against my better judgement, it has remained. The word spread that there was going to be a car meet in Ohio through other online forums, thus growing. We managed to put together 130 cars the first year (2010), over 200 the second year (2011), growing to 250+ in 2012, 2013, and 2014. We had cars attending from as far away as California, 3 years in a row!

This year we be raising money to donate to The Make A Wish Foundation™.

        Event schedule:

Thursday, June 11th - Arrival Dinner - 7pm - Dinner will be held at Dave and Buster's in the Polaris Mall. We have reserved a private banquet room. The restaurant is located on the North-East side of the Mall.

        Dave and Buster's
        1554 Polaris Parkway, Suite 206
        Columbus, OH 43240
        Phone 614-310-6800

Friday, June 12th - Dyno Day - IPS Motorsports - 9am - 2pm - We will again be holding a Dyno Day at IPS Motorsports, 2 pulls for $50 paid to either myself or a TF representative. PLEASE BRING CASH. The reason for this is because we are required to pay for the rental of the dyno up front, so this year will be a little different. If you want your car dyno'd, it will be first come, first served. The later you show up, the more risk you run of not getting on the dyno. We are going to do our best to group like make/model of cars together. This will maximize the time we have with the dyno. Every time we change make/model, they have to change the wheel base of the dyno, figure out RPM pick up points, etc. If we keep like make/model cars together, it will speed things up. Remember we hand out trophies for highest HP numbers for each 6 cylinder/below and 8 cylinder/up!

        IPS Motorsports
        8333 Green Meadows Dr. N. Suite C
        Lewis Center, OH 43035
        740-657-3278

Friday, June 12th - Drag Night - Marion County International Raceway - 4pm - 11pm - We are privately renting MCIR for our use, no one else will be on the track. The entrance fee for racing is $50, spectators are of course free. From past year's experience, you can run as many times as your car can take. 20, 30, 40 times. Hopefully we can get enough people to join to cover the rental fee. There will be trophies awarded to the fastest ET for street tires and fastest ET for drag radials.

We will also be traveling to MCIR, caravan style, leaving at 3pm from a "to be determined" location.

        Marional County International Raceway
        2303 Richwood-Larue Road
        La Rue, OH 43332-9293

Saturday, June 13th - Timmayfest 2014 - Quaker Steak and Lube Polaris - 10am - 3pm - We are meeting at the same venue as the last 4 years, Quaker Steak and Lube in Polaris. It is a very convenient location with plenty of hotels, restaurants, and the Polaris Mall right across the street. We will of have a DJ spinning some tunes and plenty of vendors with items on display. We will be selling Timmayfest T-shirts, police escort tickets (info below)and raffle tickets to raise money for the charity. The raffle will be for items donated by our sponsors starting at 3pm, along with the awards ceremony for the traveling trophies. (info below)

        Quaker Steak and Lube
        8500 Lyra Drive
        Columbus, OH 43240

We decided to have a little fun and pass out some "traveling trophies" for the following categories.

        Gents favorite
        Ladies favorite
        Worst luck
        Best 1/4 mile slicks
        Best 1/4 mile street
        Farthest traveled
Highest HP 8 cyl and up
Highest HP 6 cyl and down

The way it works if you win: You are awarded the trophy and your name is engraved onto a plate that is with each trophy. You are obligated to either mail me the trophy or come back to Timmayfest the next year to try and win it again. I think everyone had fun with it.

Saturday, June 13th - Police escort to dinner - Please arrive by 5:00pm - We are hiring a police escort again this year to travel to the restaurant. Tickets to participate are $10. They can be purchased at Timmayfest or at the entrance to the IPS parking lot prior to lining up for the escort. This is one of my favorite parts of the weekend every year. They COMPLETELY shut down all of the highways and surface roads for us! Last year we had over 100 cars in the escort and it was over 1 mile long! We will meet at IPS Motorsports (8333 Green Meadows Dr. N. Suite C, Lewis Center, OH 43035) at 5:15pm for a driver's meeting and to be lined up by our police escort, leaving promptly at 5:30pm, dinner is scheduled for 7pm at Cantina Laredo, 8791 Lyra Dr, Columbus, OH 43240 (614) 781-1139

        Escort meeting/starting location:
        IPS Motorsports
        8333 Green Meadows Dr. N. Suite C
        Lewis Center, Ohio 43035

        Dinner location:
        Cantina Loredo
        8791 Lyra Dr.
        Columbus, Ohio 43240
        (614)781-1139

Here is a note from an officer concerning a police escort:

"A full blown escort by 2 cruisers and 2 bikes is serious business. We can't have guys jumping line and acting like idiots. You will never know when a bike is flying up at 120mph to get the next on ramp blocked. If you jump line, it could cause serious injury to that officer. If you can't follow the rules during this 15 mile escort, you will be asked to not attend dinner, and you WILL be ticketed. So please, everyone act responsibly and let's have a blast!"

If you wish to not participate in the escort and just meet us at the restaurant, that is fine too. Dinner reservations are set at 7pm.

Saturday, June 13th - "The Afterparty" - Following dinner, we all head back to the Hilton hotel in Polaris and partake in a few frosty cold adult beverages and see what the night holds. We go back to the hotel to ensure there are no unsafe acts of drinking and driving.

        ATTENTION:

I want to let everyone know a few things.

First, when parking at the Hilton, if you park in the fire lane for ANYTHING except checking in and checking out, you will be towed without warning. We had some issues the last 2 years. They have been very lenient with us, but they will not be any longer, which leads me to my next warning....

PLEASE do not do burn outs, donuts, or litter in the Hilton parking lot.

        Thank you.

man i gotta figure out some shows to get to this year. So far I've been planning all my time and money around track events only.

Do we have anything that a large group from this forum will be attending? By large i mean like, at least 2-3 people, lol, it's relative.

I will have a vendor booth at Stance WI Park After Dark.  I'm sure a few of us will be at Scooters GTG again.

Me and Submuzik are planning on Automotion and ScootersGTG for sure and most likely Stance's Park After Dark. Don't know if he is going to have a vendor booth or not. Maybe combine our Bimmer strength with Pat for one bigger booth. What do you think Pat?

my 1er is not welcome as it is not an E30. I figured I would just be ostracized.

You can go, you just have to park down the road a ways and walk to the show.

You're 1er is very welcome to the e30 picnic. I helped with the organize and work the event last year and am helping again this year. All of the e30s are parked together while other BMW'S will be nearby, just not mixed together.

E30 GTG and Scooters should be at the top of your list for local happenings.

Who's going to EuroWerks this year? Ill be there to help judge and pass on the WheelWhores trophy to a new owner.
