How about start in Milwaukee and race to Door County. Of we're going to do a road rally, we may as well do it big.

Any chance we could do something like this at the meet Saturday rather then a cruise?

Too little too late to set this infrastructure in place. It's something we could definitely look into for next year.

I think the intention here is to set up some kind of driving event that encourages .. er ... more "responsible" driving than is typically seen on cruises, but is still fun for the participants. It's hard to get a group of hooligans together and in their cars without some kind of shenanigans happening. For some people that's part of the fun, but I'm sure for others it's a bit alienating. It only takes one person driving beyond their abilities or a little bit of bad luck to create an ugly situation...

I'm not much of a navigator, but if you need someone to man a checkpoint or hand out playing cards I'd be willing to help.

BMWCCA/Badger Bimmers do those types of events all the time. They're definitely more conservative when it comes to their events.

I was actually trying to structure something that appears legal and waives me of any responsibility, then sit back with a camera and watch all the destruction unfold.

              haha

How about at one of the checkpoints you're required to do some automotive maintenance task before continuing, like changing a tire with the factory-supplied jack and lug-nut wrench?

haha that would be sweet! And I agree the whole point is to not be reckless and also brings out a even playing field for all participants no matter how much power your car puts down.
