I agree on the grom. Looks super fun but I do need more practicality. I have a love hate relationship with harleys. I've grown up with a dad who always had a Harley so I have a soft spot for them. But then my "want to be different" mentality kicks in. The vrod would be the closest thing to satisfy both sides. Designed by Porsche with Harley badges.
The BMW is very intriguing to me and I'm most anxious to test ride that one out of the rest. Seating style seems to be right between a crotch rocket and cruiser which may be a good thing for me. But it may also be too close to the "uncomfortable" aspect of a sport bike I'm trying to steer away from. It's also the most expensive one tho. Which I have to keep in mind too.

Triumph Speed Triple
Possible, but its pretty much just a naked sport bike in a sense.
Guzzi v7?

Engine size is just way too small on that one. Nice looking retro bike tho.

Completely different riding position than a sport bike. I bet Eric(had his Speed Triple at the fall meet) would let you ride his if you wanted to see how they ride.

Ah that's right. He did have a speed triple. I'll definitely keep that on the list to test ride then

woah, woah, woah. Back the truck up. Since when is 750cc too small... Too small for what? Are you planning on pulling a trailer with that thing, or just dating a really fat chic?

Oh you!

But if you add loud ass pipes you immediately gain 200hp of unbalanced-Vtwin-air cooled-1940s tech at 2016 pricing

Loud pipes save lives, duh!!!

Ive narrowed it down to 4 bikes. Just waiting for warm weather to go test ride.
To satisfy the "love" relationship with Harley's, I'm gonna test ride a Sportster Forty-Eight and a V-Rod Muscle from Road Track & Trail.
To satisfy the "hate" relationship with Harley's, I'm gonna test ride a Triumph Speed Triple and a BMW R9T from Schlossman's.

What about the new Ducati XDiavel?

Ktm 1290r
Husky 900rr or whatever

I brought this home today. Two less wheels than I'm used to having on a BMW, but its a blast to drive. (Ignore the messy garage.)

Picked up a suit off sportbikerider.com for $399 and some matching gloves. Pumped for track days this year!
