Now you have some wiggle room for new projects ? :).

I only sold one BMW that I owned and that was a 94 325i sedan. I really liked the car but it was TOO small. I always felt cramped. It was great in all other regards and a blast to drive. It was in that car that I received my only speeding ticket in the last 15 years. I remember doing 55 and downshifting and rev matching into third and "Holy Crap" did that thing pull. I do miss it for that reason alone. I have a sweet spot for my E28's. I guess I am getting old but still have some class  .

Now I have some wiggle room for a new washer and drier and finishing some home projects lol.  And of course i'll be getting a few things done with my 335i now.

    was the buyer from Racine?

Nope, he ended up living right in Milton.  I got a text from him at 8:30 am asking if him and his step brother could come look at it and they were at my house by 11 am and bought it.  I did have someone that was going to come look at it on Sunday as well but I do not know where they were from.

About to pop the vanos unit on and torque the exhaust cam bolts. Then pray as I manually turn the motor over to check for interference.

Just turn the crank twice and the cams should have the "#1 TDC" flats level parallel again.  Just giver!!

Fabbed some exhaust for an e92 before work today. Turned out nice, not too loud but more turbo noise. Just Thrush glass packs with the stock tips. Crap quality video to come.

So a guy at work just bought a '95 325i sedan, 245k, kinda rusty but mechanically sound and good price.  We did a little work on it today, the hood release cable was loose at the left latch so we pulled the bumper and aux fan out so we could pull on the cable and release the hood, it was actually pretty easy.  It has a squealing noise caused by not having a pulley on the serpentine idler, yes just the inner race was left.

                        IMAG0041zpsbw5ipnb3.jpg

In place on my engine for reference.

                        IMAG0043zpsluhindyo.jpg

The belt was also missing somewhat large chunks so we replaced that too.  Then we removed the top radiator hose to see why it had duct tape wrapped around it...  Had an inch long split in it, Who does that???

                        IMAG0042zpseyrt2lbj.jpg

Then we changed the oil,  drain plug was broken and appears to have been used that way for a while with one thread holding it in, some people like to live on the edge.  I tapped a file handle into the hollow remains and it spun right out.

                        IMAG0045zpsmfqske7b.jpg

Now all it needs is some cleaning and seat recline gears for both front seats.  Sorry no pics of the car, I believe the color is Montreal Blue, it has 16" wheels that look similar to the late e36 15" ones?  Not sure what they are from.

It was between Cuba city and hazel green. It wasn't a smoking deal after finding all of those problems, nothing really expensive though, it was enthusiast owned at one point in its life, has a strut brace and short throw (z3 maybe?). Also great tires and recent brakes, the po had it for 3 years and sounds like he just changed the oil and gav'er.

I'm pretty sure I saw it parked by the side of the road for sale a few weeks back!  It had the sport pkg wheels on it and was avus blue.  It looked good from the road... sad to hear it was mistreated.

It's actually Montreal blue, with black bedlined rockers. It's perfect for a few years as a fun work beater. He is hooked already, I told him to join up on here.

M3 ate a wall this fall... and got rear ended by a 350Z moments later... so the winter project is... an over the top rebuild.

Sorry to hear about the mishap. Looks like you have a busy winter making that car into even more of a track monster!

The car was over 6 ft in the air, slammed back to the ground, and then was struck at over 60mph by another car...  and I walked away with minor neck pain.  I figured I owed it to the car for the over the top build.  Man...  those cars are built so well.
