I've got new wheels on the way and I'm wondering where you guys go to get tires mounted and balanced? Do you trust any tire shop to not scratch your nice shoes?  What are some competent shops in the Milwaukee area that I can trust to do a good job?

From searching this site, Big Bear Tire in Oconomowoc seems to be competent.  I'm hoping I don't have to travel that far to have good work done...

The only ones I will ever trust are Mid Coast Auto. Junior owns it and used to be at McAdams. He does an excellent job and is super careful.

I have the same question expect I need an alignment. I put on my summer tires last night and need an alignment. You can use bimmershops.com I have never been to any of the places but I would like to know if anyone has and previous experience with the shops listed on this site.

I have used Piller's in Hales Corners for alignments.

Seconded - don't even consider going to anyone else.

McAdams for nice stuff (also great price).  Mr. P's in Bay View if i'm not worried about the wheels (winter tires).

I've used the Goodyear shop near Bayshore mall, but I won't again when they pulled up the $115 bill for just mount/balance.

I've used Hands-On Garage in Milwaukee to get tires mounted to some winter b-caps I had. Quick job and good price if you are bringing the wheels and tires separately and dont have to take them on/off the car there.

I think now that Chris has started MidCoast, McAdams is no more (even if they're still around - I wouldn't take them nice stuff if Chris is gone).
