Yeah there are, do not have a welder though. Have a friend that might be able to do it...definitely would be the time to do it.
Getting the subframe out shouldnt be too bad (I say that now...), but more so time consuming. Having the emergency brake lines running through it is going to be another pita. My biggest concern in the whole thing is getting the bushings in and out of the subframe/differential. I've researched and thought about it and have decided to go with rubber over poly. Two main reasons being cost and ride quality. I can do the whole subframe and diff for $100 cheaper than it would be to just do the subframe in poly. Also the ride quality, and the stress that they are going to transmit to other components. The only benefit to them is the install, but it isnt worth imo. There is a bushing press at work but I hear people have to trouble with the subframe.
Does anyone have a bushing pulling/pushing tool? or a link to a good one to make?

Don't have any knowledge on the differences between your bushings and how mine were in the E30 - but a long chunk of threaded rod and some nuts/sockets should get them out. Worse case - do what I did in some: Swiss-cheese the bushings and pull them out in pieces.
Car looks great BTW - Moar lows will help with the esthetics IMO, but a good looking car overall.

This seems to be the general consensus on how to make your own bushing puller. I'll have to look into it further on how to make one. I do like your idea of just beating the shit out of them.
Thank you. You dont have to tell me twice that the car needs more low lol. I think once I get that, the car will be at where I want it aesthetically, besides an Mtech II rear bumper and either a M3 or Mtech II front bumper
Maintenance comes first though, so the plan is after I take care of the rear end is to go through and figure out anything else that needs immediate attention. Then modzzz

We got some new cutting compound at work today so I wanted to try it. First washed the car and then clay bared the hood (the only part I buffed). I then used the cutting compound followed by a polish. Finished off with a carnauba wax. The feel is really smooth, but I wished I would have had some of my buddies Zymol. The bead isnt bad either, I took video.
I shot it vertically, im sorry. But you can really see the depth and shine in the paint.

So heres an update:
Well I think my account was deleted due to inactivity, had to create a new account. Not a lot happened has happened with the car in the past year. I sold the LM replicas, didn't have the money at the time to do anything suspension wise and it killed me to have those wheels on stock suspension. Well I have a co-op with Mercury Marine now making a pretty good wage throughout the week and I still have my Bergstrom job which will be paying dividends for access to tools/lift/alignment rack/etc.
The car bug has recently bitten me again and now making better money I plan to actually do something with the car this spring/summer.
Headed down to Illinois this Saturday to pick up some new wheels, style 68's.

I found out that I had a broken spring at the way bottom of the coil in the rear. Car rides fine, but probably is the explanation for why it sits at a different height by a finger on that side than the other. So the plan is to go with the FK coilovers for the price and basic lowering. This is just a daily, have heard the Fk's ride similar to the sport suspension but slightly stiffer.
Other mods to come this summer. This lip, which is apparently one of the only options for the stock bumper. For $80 though I can't complain
For 80 dollars I'll also be picking up some new headlight lenses because mine are super pitted and hazy. (have tried to buff and cut them already)
Also would like to pick up a set of LED tails, they are only like $150 on Ebay, so I dont see why not.
For maintenance I need to replace the lower front control arm bushings. Was quoted $1500 at Bergstrom when I got my ebrake fixed, fuck that. Have seen the DIY's and they its a 2-4 hour job, and the bushings themselves are 70 dollars.
So thats the status of the car as of now, excited to finally make some changes that will reflect the way I want the car to look. Excited for this summer.

I had FK's on my e36 and I enjoyed them. They were comfortable for daily driving, stiffened the ride without being harsh and went low. I think you'll be happy with them. I would highly recommend finding a set of adjustable top mounts so you can properly align the car or you're going to be eating through tires like crazy!

I just picked up a sponsorship from them.
