Surprisingly there is quite a bit of room between the oil pan and imminent death.  With that said, having a plate or x-brace has crossed my mind.

Now you can justify the x-brace as insurance, rather than just for fun!  Perfect reasoning for getting it past the wife.

If I am going to use my powers of persuasion to get ANYTHING past the wife it will be a supercharger or an M3!  An x-brace can just "show up" lol

So I figured I should update this with my wheels finally on and most snow gone!  I took her down to Water by the Bridge in Kentucky last weekend and she ran flawlessly!

Sorry for the photo quality.  At some point I will invest in a decent camera.

They work stupendously!  I sometimes like to freak my wife out and turn the headlights off and just drive with the fogs... I am amused.
