Milwaukee Body Work
-
Hey guys,
My '98 328i has a rusty hole in the driver's side front door. I've heard from both Fazio automotive and Maaco (brookfield area) that it's probably be best to replace the door & have it painted. Thoughts? What are the best deals around town for paint/body work? I'm discovering that this stuff can be crazy expensive

Thanks!

What color is your car? Getting a door from the junkyard is your best and cheapest way to go, depending on the color.
This, If you go to Wally's you-pull-it in Oshkosh they have about 6 e36's last I checked (a majority being sedans) where you could score a pretty decent door. Its been a while since I was there but they still might be around, getting a new door and having it painted will probably be very expensive. Worst case scenario you could get a nice door in the wrong color and have it painted

My relative owns a body shop down on 38th and National called Platinum Collision Center. They do great work and could easily paint a door you find at a junk yard for a good price. I had them paint the gas tank on my Triumph Daytona and it turned out great!
