Up and running after about three years of neglect, new lower oil pan, assorted m42 air and water hoses and belts, fresh fluids, actually idles now and runs.

Thank you sir.  It has never left me stranded.  Ever.  A/C compressor converted to air compressor, can air up tires or even run an impact.  Hope to convert it to CNG at some point to make it cheaper to operate, on a good day it gets 12mpg.

Yea I'm definitely not a big subaru fan, but I wasn't going to sacrifice a BMW to the rust gods, and I found this bugger and the price was on point. I would pull the motor before I changed the fucking plugs... Also, This bitch was completely bone stock, dealer maintained, and one owner. 129k on it. 2002.

I may have a save on not driving the bimmer. Found a 92 dodge dakota with a 5.2l that is prime for the picking and ready for the snow. fingers crossed.

changing plugs on a subaru isnt really THAT hard. harder than a non-boxer engine for sure, but not THAT hard still.
