So one thing I have noticed this morning since craigslist makes you pay to list cars, there are no more robot ads with pixelated images for insanely really good prices.
Anyways, here are a few interesting cars I found on this Friday morning;
rough, but $1500 E90 (winter beater?)

Also, here is some interesting news. I stopped at the old 608 Motorsports last week when I saw the garage door open. The place has been vacant for about 2 months now minus a certain twin turbo E24. Backtrack about 2 days prior I had a friend of mine ask me if I wanted to buy this E24 as he knows one of the previous owners of 608. It turns out there are some mixed stories on the car, but the owner has shifted interest into the CBD world and is no longer pursuing cars. Its unclear how much he wants for it, but I understood that $6500 is roughly the price now.
Anyways, I poked my head in the open door and there was one guy in there doing some remodeling. He said his wife was renting the building as they are opening a baby goods? store. He said that hes tried multiple times to contact the guy from 608 to move the car, as its in his way. He said if its not out in a week hes having it towed into the parking lot as he doesnt have keys. It old him everything I knew about the car and the 608 story and I was able to get some pictures and video of the car. It seems fairly nice, and the turbo kit may or maynot be an alpina kit. I wasn't able to look too closely as the guy was kinda breathing down my neck the whole time asking me questions. I snapped some pics and a video and left, see below.

I can't read this without picturing someone pulling up to a show at driving height, getting out and going to each corner with a core tool then getting a bike pump out to raise it up to leave.

Does the dude chase money or....?
Seems like an odd passion switch.Either way, neat car.

There must be some heinous electrical or mechanical issue with these.
I get the E6X 7 series vibe from these.
*or depreciation is a bitch.

someone said:
Selling as a parts car for obvious reasons
Not sure what he's referring to?

depreciation is right
5er/7ers have always dropped like a stone in value. now, besides the extra expensive interior gadgets, electronics, and such that fail, they also have unreliable motors.

Sweet color, what a shame.

An E34 dream/ nightmare.

This thing has some of the most unobtainium collected in one E34. 3 guys have spent fortunes trying to get a head gasket to hold and all have failed.
now being sold as a collection of rare parts with a calypso shell and a bad head gasket.
If I only had vacation time to drag this thing home.

To many projects. I'd be all over it if I didn't have (2) E34 540i/6 already. And 8 vehicles (6 BMW's) has stretched the spousal approval factor to the limit. "if you bring another car in the yard, it better be an RV, cause you'll be living in it" rings every time a deal like his comes up.
I've seen this car go up for sale ~8 years ago. The original owner was a doctor and had it built as a street/track car. It's got all the track toys. The M60 was bored and stroked to extreme. He took it out a couple of times and blew the head gasket. Rebuilt it with upgraded gaskets, ran it a few more times and blowing it again. Fed up with the ordeal, he put it up for sale. I was to late to the deal and the current owner bought it. I found my calypso car a year later. He proceed to check everything and replace the head gaskets yet again. ran it for a few months and blew the head gasket again. That was last I heard of this car, 'till it came up for sale as is now about 3 mo ago for ~$6500. now he's down to a more realistic $3000.
On paper this thing is a Beast, in reality the motor is a nightmare.
as Paul Harvey said "and that folks is the rest of the story"

Good candidate for an s62.
You sound like a volunteer

The bored and stroked block on this monster just doesn't leave enough deck between the bores for a happy head gasket.
Swap the block for a m62B44 and using the s62 crank you got a nice 4.7l M60 franken motor.
Less headaches then integrating the S62 electronics. But that's been done before as well.
