I saw that post on r3v. Its weird that someone would put that much time into a baur. One thing is sure, its probably the only one.

I was talking with some friends about that last night. I think that will forever stay a shell and be a collectors item which really isn't a bad thing. It's really neat

I agree. Its funny to see there are so many completely opposite opinions about it. Some say its over priced because you can buy a running driving E30 M3 for $40k, others think its cheap because you will never find another. I  think if anyone should buy it, it should be BMW themselves for a museum piece.

I don't see it being a collectors item at all; just a replacement shell for a crashed race car. Feel free to put it in your garage and stare at it, but I'd rather see it put to use for it's intended purpose.

Said car was just posted here in the Cars FS topic. IMO its a more realistic, $1000 car. Best of luck to him.
