Yeah, it's on the borderline of a good deal, depending on what kind of project it is. He's firm on the price. I'm gonna sleep on it.

You are considering it? I guess you will know what you are doing and what to look for at this point. LOL

Only thing keeping me interested is that I literally have everything to fix it, in spare parts. I could use my old motor if it ends up needing the whole thing, would just have to throw a used piston in it. And I'm very familiar with these cars.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't these cars come with a limp mode feature to possibly avoid damaging components on the engine such as the head-gasket?

The N54 will go into limp mode if you sneeze too hard

Yes, but it can only do so much. If the water pump stops working or the car has been continuously driven while overheating, there's always a chance of catastrophic failure.

In person its an off white that I think they called oyster.  Still highly stainable.  I don't think i'd ever have the comittment to keep it pristine.

This one has been up for a few, I want the crap out of it, but I just can't commit to white with what I enjoy doing. It looks nice, but I would need to put black seats in it.

I was going to buy this a few months ago for 2500. Someone bought it a few weeks ago for 3500 and is trying to flip it. The rust was fine for me only thing that kept me from buying it was the dent in the passenger door. The car isn't Boston green like it looks. Its actually Ferngreen.
