"I drive honda and the shift pattern is closer together. I borrowed my brothers car for work one day( I drive honda with shorter shifting) and when I shifted short into 5th gear I ended up in 3rd gear and skipped the timing and bent the valves in the 6th cylinder, long story short the motor is bad."

The ol' blame the shift pattern excuse.

          PS. I drive Honda.

Pat, change those headlights back to OEM, get an M5 front bumper, and you've got a slick touring! :)

That is an M5 front bumper.  If you do go back to OEM headlights, get 2001+ euro headlights with the clear corners.

Very cool car, too bad it's not a 540.  Is it manual or auto?

My first thought was "if only it were a 540 with a manual..." It looks like a solid start to a great daily driver!

that car is fantastically awful for a 'restoration'

stock suspension, stock wheels (the worst possible, for that matter)

the front clip is painted black under the grill?
