Yup... When I had my m3 at age 19, full coverage was $2000 a year for me... Pretty good considering, but it really sucked me dry

Agreed, if it was simply red with black interior they might actually sell it for north of $10k..

I've been out of the e30 market for a while, but it still seems $2500-3000 high..

As someone who has never been in the e30 market and really has nothing to base this judgement off of... that price looks high.  Maybe 5k if it was a 325i/is but I can't see a 318 getting that price, even if it is that clean.

I might catch shit for this, but I liked my 318is more than any of my 325i e30s.. The motor is very rev happy, and my worn down old 318is felt more nimble than my 325i which had IE Stage 3 springs, lighter wheels, and mostly new suspension..
